Proposal Implemented

This proposal was sent to the development mailing list for discussion, and submitted to Savannah Task Manager as Task #12782.

Improve Download Page Structure I

Current download page layout

This is a proposal to restructure the content of the current Downloads page (see image to the left) in the hope that it will be easier for new and old users to navigate. The idea is to make it easier to differentiate all the installers available, give more information about system requirements and provide links to relevant documentation such as: help on selecting the appropriate installer, Installation Manual, Upgrading information.

Bellow this line is the proposed structure for the Download page.

Download gNewSense 3

This is the latest version of the gNewSense GNU/Linux operating system featuring the GNOME desktop. The gNewSense installer is available for different architectures listed bellow. The installer has all you need to try out the system, and if you like it, install it right from the desktop! If you are not sure what's the appropriate installer for you, read the guide about determining your computer architecture or ask for support.

Upgrading information is available for old gNewSense users.
