In case you need to change your default console encoding, keyboard layout or type of font in your terminals (tty1-tty6), all you have to do is
sudo dpkg-reconfigure console-setup
After entering your password, an easy to follow menu type application will guide you through the different options. Remember, the Terminus font options over the end of the selection are recommended for people working long hours in front of the screen.
