Free Software Diplomacy
When a piece of software does not meet the free system distribution guidelines, but would be useful to include in the distribution, then the copyright holder(s) of the software should be contacted to try to solve the issue. Not all copyright holders have software freedom high on their priority list. That's why this is best handled with some diplomacy. Here are some guidelines and good practices for that.
