As of 2009-09-09, the GPG key used for signing the gNewSense packages expired. I've moved its expiry so its still valid, but you are may experience problems downloading updates or packages from our mirrors. To update your key, check FixExpiredArchiveKey. Apologies for this sillyness.

The first gNewSense release - Deltad - has had its binaries removed from our mirrors. All the source is still available, and the archive is updated weekly to ensure no non-free packages sneak into our 'retired' release.

We were recently informed that when our new website skin came into effect in March the licence notice at the bottom of our pages was modified by mistake. We have a short licence update page with details. If you have contributed to our wiki during this time it would be great if you would check the page.

www.gNewSense.org , along with bugs. and wiki. now have a new look, following work by the gNewSense web team. It is the Maguila skin, customised slightly for our usage.

Linux-ubuntu-modules has been freedom checked, cleaned up and reintroducted to gNS. Sound relying on free drivers should be working again

There have been yet more Builder/gNewSense updates. The update process was automated a week ago, and this process now has two levels of monitoring. We're also now monitoring mirror freshness.

There are now -backports and -updates components. I haven't tried them out fully. There's also a number of general updates.

LiveCD 0.93 now available. All known kernel firmware removed and many other improvements.
