Los paquetes meta son: ubuntu-live, ubuntu-desktop, etc. Tomamos los paquetes ubuntu-meta y los modificamos para producir gnewsense-desktop, etc.
Quitamos la documentación de Ubuntu, el usplash y el ubuntu-artwork del escritorio. Hemos añadido gnewsesne-artwork para el escritorio.
Añadimos emacs, netHack, bsdgames y build-essential, al metapaquete gnewsense-standard.
