Founded in September of 2008 by Christopher Waid, ThinkPenguin.com provides GNU/Linux and free software users a source for support and hardware. The Penguin product catalog does not include products dependent on non-free software components. Graphics, Wifi, Audio, Webcams, and Ethernet chipsets are fully supported. This includes accessories and peripherals such as: USB wifi cards, audio cards, portable audio players, printers, and other devices. Features that are frequently unavailable on free software systems due to non-free drivers and firmware dependencies are fully supported. This includes suspend to ram and 3D acceleration. As of 6/13/11 all computer systems do ship with a non-free BIOS. Effort is being made to eliminate this dependency.
