I live in Massachusetts in the USA. I've been a postal worker for 23 years and I've been doing gnu/linux since 2004. My first computer was a Timex/Sinclair 2000 which had 2k memory, that included ROM. My next computer was a Commodore 64. After that I had a couple PC 8086s running DOS. Then a 386 running Windows 3.1 and later OS/2. Then my first Pentium 100Mhz which ran Windows 95. Sometime around that time I tried to install Red Hat 4.2 (or something like that) and failed. It couldn't find my cdrom which was connected through my sound blaster audio card. I then bought one of the first IMacs running MacOS 8. Then I got an eMachine 600 Mhz running Windows 98. I upgraded to a bootleg version of Windows 2000. And then three years ago I installed Red Hat 9 on it. A year later (and several distros later) I finally got rid of Windows, and I haven't looked back since. I've got a Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop on which I'm running gNewSense and on the old eMachine I'm running Debian etch (main repository only) and I'm using it as a web server (http://gnu-linux.us currently not up).
